Quick Overview

Matcha is a strong, full-bodied tea milled to a superfine powder that brews to a bright green colour; it has the classic deep flavour and aroma associated with Japanese style teas. Recently, Matcha has become a staple in gourmet cafés and is used in all manner of beverages like latés, milkshakes, and bubble tea.

Sencha tea is a beautiful dark green tea. It is made with a special drying/steaming process that prohibits oxidation of the tea leaves while being rolled and dried, imparting a uniquely Japanese flavour.

Chunmee tea is a mellow and sweet tea, originating from the Fujian region of China. It has floral and smoky undertones and continues to steep well for cup after cup of tea bliss.

These three teas make an amazingly balanced and fresh tea that is enjoyable to drink, and can be appreciated by even the Matcha novice.

Organic Sancha Green Tea
Organic Chinese Green Tea Chunmee

Tasting Notes:
This tea is for people who love the taste of Matcha, but don’t want to fuss with the powder. We’ve blended Matcha, Sencha and Chunmee teas together for a wonderful cup that’s great to start the day, or for an afternoon pick-me-up.

This tea has a character that changes from brilliant and fresh to bold and strong (but not bitter or heavy) as the tea cools. This is all in conjunction with the familiar seaweed notes normal to both Matcha and Sencha teas. Made especially for people in a hurry, or those just getting into matcha. It’s convenient, quick, and tasty. Enjoy!

Directions:
• Using good water is an essential part of brewing a great cup of tea. We recommend using good mineral, or filtered water.
• Rinse your teapot and cup with hot water immediately before brewing your tea. By keeping the water temperature high while steeping, more of the subtle aspects of your tea will be extracted from the tea leaves. Also, your tea will more quickly and stay hot longer.
• Water temperature is critical. For this tea, we recommend heating your water until it is vigorously boiling, then letting it cool slightly before pouring over the teabag(s).
• Use one teabag per cup of tea desired. Pour hot water over teabags, cover and steep, peeking & stirring occasionally.
• As a tea cools, you will notice that its taste changes dramatically. Be sure to experiment and you may find more character in a specific tea than you ever imagined.

No flavourings, preservatives or sweeteners of any kind.
